STAGE 8 TIME TRIAL

Greg Parr Stage
HARTLEY'S CROCODILE ADVENTURES – PORT DOUGLAS
SAT 12.11.2022 | 34 km + 876 vm

Last stage of the Crocodile Trophy in loving memory of Greg Parr

  • To commemorate the passing of multiple Croc finisher Greg Parr the final stage of the Crocodile Trophy will always be named the ‘Greg Parr Stage’. Greg sadly lost his battle with cancer in recent years.
  • This special stage has you climbing back up the Southedge – Wongetti Road before turning into the Twin Bridges singletrack. It’s aptly named for a couple of pretty sketchy log bridges, but in general the trail is an absolute blast to ride! After exiting this great section the iconic ‘Bump Track’ awaits. The Bump starts with easy water- bars and flow groomed by plenty of wheels on a trail that cuts through the dense rainforest. But when it finally tips down dropping 400m pretty quickly to the finish line. This is not the place after doing all the hard work to get caught out! Enjoy but take care.
  • Then with the stop clock finally pressed for the last time, its time to relax and casually ride under the neutral flag Port Douglas. After rolling through the quiet suburbs you will reform on the spectacular 4 mile beach and ride together to the finishing arch outside of the Port Douglas Surf Life Saving Club.
